My First Stitch Fix - Petite Edition
Hello Lovelies,
I just received my first Stitch Fix in the mail this week and was so excited that I had to blog about it. For reference, I am 5'2"/157cm and weigh about 110 lbs/50 kg. I have selected to receive the petite options when possible.
I asked for clothes that were cute that I could use in my fairly casual work environment (as a school psychologist!) and on the weekends as well.
The first top that I received was this Phelan Abstract Chevron Print Short-Sleeve Blouse by Collective Concepts in XS Petite. I love it! I paired it two ways; with distressed jeans and dressed up with a pencil skirt as suggested by my stylist, Kylee.
In this fix I requested "one of those gold bar necklaces" that I've seen everywhere.
My stylist sent me the Corinna Delicate Bar Necklace by Gorjana. It's different to what I was picturing, but still pretty and delicate. I like the hammered effect on the metal.

Next up is the black Sabrina Yoke Detail Blouse by Papermoon in XS Petite. I love this one too. It fits perfectly; the sheer bit does not dip too low as is so often the case when you are pint sized.

Again I've paired it two ways; with jeans and a JCrew cardigan for work on the left, and with another item from my fix, the Emer High Waisted Cropped Trouser by Margaret M in S Petite, on the right. I'm of two minds about these trousers. They fit perfectly, which is impressive. (They made it over the bum, and sit nicely on the waist.) However, as the name suggests, they are cropped. When you are petite I feel like cropped pants can visually cut you off and make you appear shorter. Despite this, I can see myself wearing these pants during summer to work as they are functional and professional looking.
My final item was this Naya Knit Top in "light green" by Renee C in XS. Here you can see the difference between an XS and an XS Petite. On the left I've paired it with the Margaret M trousers. This look doesn't really do a lot for my shape because the shirt is almost long enough to be a dress on me. However, after trying every pant that I own I finally tried it with shorts, as Kylee suggested on my card. Bingo. I like the print, even though I definitely wouldn't have picked it myself. But that's kind of the whole point of Stitch Fix, isn't it?

If you liked my review and would like to give it a try you can use my referral link to sign up. I will get a $25.00 credit if you order your fix using my link.
Thanks Lovelies! :)
