My Second Stitch Fix
Hello again lovelies,
My stylist has done it again! Another wonderful box full of items I'm loving. I must disclose that I live in a regional (read: 4 hour drive from the nearest actual city) town in Australia and there isn't even a shoe store here! I'm originally from San Antonio so I love my shopping. (And eating, but that's another blog post.) A coworker of mine used to online shop all the time and when she didn't like something she would offer to sell it to me before returning it. When buying her cast-offs became basically my sole shopping methodology (in addition to my rare trips to the U.S.) I realized something had to change. Enter... Stitch Fix! Granted, my mom has to ship the items all the way to me in Australia but so far I'm loving the experience and the clothes have fit better than many things I would find in store in Australia anyway. (Australia is seriously behind the times with petite options.) Without further ado, my second fix:
The very first thing I tried on were the Kut from the Kloth Brayden Cargo Skinny Pants in dark grey, size 2 ($78.00). I was so curious if they would actually fit since I usually have major issues shopping for pants. Just like the Emer High Waisted Cropped Trousers from my first fix, they fit perfectly over my bum and hips, but this time I was happy with the length!

On a side note, Winston looks pretty pissed that he's not the hottest grey thing in the house at the moment.
The next item is the Pember Split Neck Tunic by Papermoon in navy, size XSP ($48.00). At first I wasn't sure about all these stripes but it makes a beautiful work top. Styled here with the cargos and a pair of Vince Camuto booties.
I was really eager to try on this Miley Jacket by Sanctuary ($128.00, XS, Olive.) As a former military brat, I was worried this and the cargo pants were going too far into faux-military wear, but surprise, I love this jacket. I adore the slouchy texture and softness of the fabric; it's made out of linen and rayon and cinches perfectly at the waist. The sleeves are convertible to full length and I think it's worth every penny.
My stylist, Kylee, took inspiration from my Stitch Fix Pinterest inspiration board and sent me this colorful Lomita Button Down Top by Olive and Oak in XS ($58.00). Here I'm letting it poke out of a looser grey top. I can also picture it wearing it to the beach as a cover-up.
Here is the Abel Textured Knit Sweater by Sanctuary in XS ($68.00). The vertical stripe pattern plus the bulky knit that don't do my figure any favors up top, and the sleeves were too long for me since it was a "straight size" rather than petite. The color and knit are pretty though (there is a bit of sparkle through it), and I totally wore it last night because it's winter in Australia and this baby is warm! I think it works well when paired with this form-fitting pencil skirt.
Overall, I was really happy with this fix. I think putting together a Pinterest board for my stylist really helped.
If you try Stitch fix for yourself, let me know how you like it.
Until next time Lovelies-
Danielle
